The Performance Evaluation Challenge - Most Common Pitfalls & How to Avoid Them Presented by Judith Islas, Of Counsel, Liebert Cassidy Whitmore
Well drafted and accurate performance evaluations are a critical tool for effective personnel management. Poorly drafted and inaccurate evaluations cause huge problems for public agencies. They limit agencies ability to effecitvely manage their workforce, limit the ability to discipline employees, result in litigation, and minimize the ability to successfully defend lawsuits, PERB charges and other legal proceedings.
How can your agency avoid the perils of poorly drafted evaluations? What are the most common pitfalls and mistakes made in draft performance evaluations? What are some examples of how these mistakes play out in litigation and impact your agencies? This presentation will address these issues and key tips on how you can improve the quality of performance evaluations in your agency.
