About the Presenter…

Connie A. Broussard is an experienced trial lawyer and the principal lawyer at Broussard Law. Ms. Broussard, represents individuals, companies, government agencies and law enforcement agencies, in employment-related disputes and workplace investigations. Ms. Broussard regularly counsels clients in a variety of industries, particularly government, and small business on a wide-range of employment issues, including unconscious bias, whistleblower and retaliation claims, sexual harassment, bullying, Title VII anti-discrimination and harassment matters, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. She is a regular speaker on issues of diversity, unconscious bias and creating an inclusive workforce. Ms. Broussard has been recognized by the National Black Lawyers and the California Department of Justice for her work in this area. She currently serves on the California State Bar Council on Access and Fairness and the State Bar Workgroup on Mandatory Malpractice Insurance. She was recently selected by the California State Assembly to serve on the newly formed Statewide Workplace Conduct Panel.

Ms. Broussard spent 14 years with the Attorney General’s Office as a Deputy and Supervising Deputy Attorney General in the Criminal, Health Quality Enforcement and Employment Law Sections. She has tried dozens of cases and close to one hundred appeals, including arguing cases in the California Supreme Court, Federal Court of Appeal and filing opposition to certiorari in the United States Supreme Court.
