TopicKnow Thyself: Achieve Greater Success through Self‐Awareness

After you leave a meeting, how sure are you about the impression you left behind? A successful professional understands that what they bring to their position is not just about being business savvy, but rather an entire package that includes interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Strengthening self‐awareness allows people to identify the gaps in their personal and professional lives, uncovering the areas in which they are most effective as well as, areas that need additional work. According to a study conducted by Harvard University, self‐aware people make stronger leaders and happier employees. They are more confident, more creative, communicate more effectively, and are better able to manage emotions. In this session, you will learn what it means to be self‐ aware, the positive effects of self‐awareness, the disadvantages of not having it, and the impact to workplace performance. You will also learn coaching techniques to strengthen your self‐awareness, as well as, how to assist others with their own development. You will leave with knowledge and tools that can open your mind to a better understanding of yourself, in turn, being a more effective leader.
